Auschwitz, 1944: Rabbi Shulem Eliezer of Ratzfert was murdered by the German devils.
R’ Shulem Eliezer was one of the younger children of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz [Nowy Sącz, Poland] and his Rebbitzin, Rechil Devorah. She was the daughter of Rabbi Hershele Tarner from Tarnów, Poland, a son of R’ Mordechai David Ungar of Dombrowa [Dąbrowa Tarnowska, Poland], and son-in-law of Rabbi Shamshon Cukier of Zwoleń, Poland.
R’ Shulem Eliezer was murdered, in the infamous gas chambers in Auschwitz.
