Sinai Desert, 2450 AM: The first Census of the Jewish Nation.

Hashem commanded Moshe Rabeinu: “Take a census of the whole Israelite community by the clans of its ancestral houses, listing the names, every male, head by head. You and Aaron shall record them by their groups, from the age of twenty years up, all those in Israel who are able to bear arms.”

The total of the males aged 20-60, “who were enrolled came to 603,550.”

Of the Levites, “all the males from the age of one month up, came to 22,000.”
