Frankfurt, 1709: The Semichas Chachamim wrote his famous response regarding a heartless chicken.

He recounts a story. Once a maiden told the Rebbetzin Pearl of Prague,  that the chicken she just opened was heartless. Her husband, the famous Maharal of Prague, claimed it’s impossible for a chicken to live without a heart.  Therefore the chicken must have had a heart, and was thrown away by mistake.
