Cracow, 1552: Rebittzen Golde, the wife of Remuh, died during the 2nd plague pandemic.

Rebittzen Golde was born 20 years earlier in Lublin, to the Great Rabbi Shachne, the rav of Lublin. It is said that R’ Shachne was so impressed by his young son-in-law’s eulogy at her levaya, that he told him that since he’s convinced that he prepared this eulogy before she died, therefore he will not give him his second daughter in marriage.

Remuh eventually remarried Rebbetzin Krendel, the daughter of R’ Moshe Eberl’s of Cracow.
