Dzyatlava, 11 Shevat, 1835: The Chafetz Chayim was born.
Rabbi Israel Meir HaCohen, a.k.a. Chafetz Chayim was born in Zhetl [Dzyatlava], a little town not far from Hrodna [Grodna, Belarus].
At the age of ten, his father passed away, and eventually, his mother remarried.Β They moved to Radin [Radun], where he lived the rest of his life, until his passing.
