Laodicea on the Lycus

Today used to be “Trajanus Day”, as mentioned in Megillas Taanis. 

About 1900 years ago, at the beginning of the 2nd century, which was in the times of Rabbi Yehshua ben Chananyah, Jews were accused of killing the king’s daughter. The holy innocent Jews, Lulianos and Pappus, took the blame and were martyred by Trajanus.
