Fulda, 1635: The Maharam Schiff – made a Siyum on Maseches Gittin.
Rabbi Meyer Hacohen Schiff from Frankfurt, Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva in the nearby town Fulda, mentions this accomplishment at the end of his commentary, Maharam Schiff, on Maseches Gittin: “We completed Maseches Gittin within the curriculum of the Yeshiva, Today, Sunday 15 Tammuz 395 to the small count.”
