Mother Earth, 1657 AM: Rainy issues.

Noac, his family, and all the selected animals, were all set and ready in the teivah–ark, but Noach was hesitant to go in, hoping that the mabul–great flood would not begin. It was the heavy rain, which changed his mind, and caused him to enter the teivah at last, locking it behind him. 

Also, Today, 17 Cheshvan, throughout the years, is the day which was the deciding factor, how to deal with the weather in Eretz Yisrael, as we learn in the Mishnah: “If the seventeenth of MarCheshvan came and no rain fell, individuals begin to fast three fasts..”
