Altona, 1764: Rabbi Yonathan Eybeschütz passed away.

R’ Yonathan was a ‘Ba’al Shem’, meaning he practiced Kabbalah. In his time there was an epidemic going around in which ‘kimpetorins’–women in childbirth died. R’ Yonathan gave out amulets for these women. These amulets eventually caused the famous controversy between him and Rabbi Yaacov Emden.
