Bug River

Brisk, 1636: R’ David from Khomsk, Russia was murdered.

R’ David traveled from Khomsk to Brisk [Brest, Belarus], arriving in the evening. There he crossed a bridge, spanning the Bug River. Some nobles ran over to him, grabbed him, and threw him over into the river. R’ David tried to swim to safety, and people tried to help him, but at some point, he disappeared into the water. His body was found floating in the water three months later, on the 25th of Nissan.
