Sura, 942: Rabbi Saadia Gaon passed away.
Rav Saadia Gaon was the leading figure in Babylon, involved with the Jewish calendar dispute. In 921 Rabbi Aharon ben Meir from Eretz Yisrael claimed that Pesach shall be celebrated on Sunday, whilst Rav Saadia Gaon’s position was for it to be celebrated on Tuesday. Rav Saadia wrote several times to Rav Aron to unite with the Babylonian opinion, but Rav Aron wouldn’t give in, claiming that the Israeli opinion is superior in calendar matters.
It is unknown when this dispute came to an end, but eventually it did.
