Mount Gilboa, 2884: King Shaul, and his three sons die in war.
Seder Olam tells us that King Shaul died four months after Shmuel Hanavi’s passing. In Tur & Shulchan Aruch we learn that Shmuel passed away on the 28th of Iyar. Thus four months later, 28 Elul, marks the yahrzeit of the Royal Family of King Shaul.
