Ofen, 1498: A siyum was made on Masechta Bava Kamma.

An unknown chronicler writes: “5258: Our esteemed rabbi and teacher, R’ Meir Pfefferkorn, recited the Talmudic tractate Bava Kamma from memory, and gave daily lessons in halakha, beginning after Hanukkah and finishing on the 28th of Adar II in the holy community of Ofen [Óbuda, Hungary]. May his soul be bound up in the bond of everlasting life.”
