Brody, 1804: Rabbi Sundel Ramras passed away.

Rabbi Yehuda Sundel Ramras, was the Maggid of Brody. His father was known as R’ Moshe R’ Selig’s [R’ Selig was R’ Moshe’s father-in-law], hence his interesting surname, Ramras, which is the acronym of his father’s nickname.

Family Ramras traced their roots back to Rabbi Todros Abulafya, a nephew of the Ramah [Rabbi Meir HaLevi].

R’ Sundel was the father of Rivkah Hena, the mother of the Sar Shalom of Belz, and also the father of Rabbi Yissachar Ber of Sokal, the father-in-law of the Sar Shalom of Belz, being the father of his Rebbetzen Malkah.
