Today was supposed to be Rosh haShana le’Ilanos!

According to the holy Zohar, we anticipate each year, to celebrate Rosh HaShana LeIlanos – the Tree’s New Year, as is the position of the Beis Shammai. Yet again, to our dismay, we will be celebrating this special event, two weeks thereafter, on the 15th of Shevat, as is the position of the Beis Hillel.

In Seder HaDoros, it quotes from what Rabbi Moshe Praguer writes in his sefer VaYakhel Moshe, in the name of the Zohar, that although today the Halachah is as the Beis Hillel, LeAsid Lavo, the Halacha will be as Beis Shamai.
