Jericho, 2489 AM: Yehoshua, told the sun and the moon, to stay put.

In Seder Olam, chapter 11, we read: “On the third of Tamuz. ‘He said in the presence of the Israelites: “Stand still, O sun, at Gibeon, O moon, in the Valley of Aijalon!’ – And the sun stood still” Rabbi Yossi adds a very interesting anecdote, “That day was the Yom HaTekufa, the summer solstice.”
