Jerusalem 3414 AM: The 2nd Beis Hamikdash was completed.

We read in Ezra 6:15: “The house was finished on the third of the month of Adar in the sixth year of the reign of King Daryavesh.”

Since Daryavesh gave permission to build the Beis Hamikdash in his 2nd year, it works out that the building of the Beis Hamikdash took 5 years. As one can expect this was greatly celebrated; “The Israelites, the priests, and the Levites, and all the other exiles celebrated the dedication of the House of Hashem with joy..”
