Frankfurt an der Oder, 1792: The Pri Megadim, was presented with the sefer Tzelach.

In Germany, there are two cities with the very same name β€œFrankfurt.” The famous one is in Hesse, on the banks of the river Main, the other one is in Brandenburg, on the bank of the river Oder. Rabbi Yosef Teomim, the author of Pri Megadim, was rav in the latter one.

Tzelach is the acronym of Tziyon leNefesh Chaya, which was authored by R’ Yechezkel Landau of Prague, better known as the Noda beYehuda.
