Prague, 1619: The Kli Yakar passed away.
Rabbi Shlomo Ephraim Luntschitz [his origin was from the royal town, Łęczyca, Poland], was the author of Ollelos Ephraim and Kli Yakar. He was the successor of the Maharal in Prague. It is interesting to note that these days, two names were very rare, or even unacceptable. The same applies to the Kli Yakar, his original name was only Ephraim. The name Shlomo was added later due to an illness.
