Desert of Zin, 2488 AM: Miriam passed away.

Miriam was born to Amram and Yocheved as their first child. She, as Prophetess’, foresaw that her parents will eventually give birth to the savior of the Jews – her brother Moshe Rabeinu.

According to Chazal, she was the Egyptian Jewish midwife, by the name Pu’ah.

In the desert, we meet her as singeress, and as a percussionist.

She married the spy, Kalev ben Yefuneh, and was the grandmother of Bezalel who built the Mishkan. Bezalel, in turn, was a grandfather of King David.
