Today, 403 years ago, in the year 1617, Rabbi Faivush of Cracow passed away.

R’ Meshulam Faivush, the rav of Cracow, was the Rebbi of Rabbi Yoel Sirkes, known as the Bach. The Bach mentions his Rebbi in his commentary. He had the manuscript of Sheilos uTeshvos Maharam Mintz, and he was active with the publishing of it.
