Spinoza Ex-Communicated
Hague, 1677: Spinoza died.
Baruch Espinosa or Benedictus de Spinoza, was born on 24 November 1632, in Amsterdam. He originated from Marranos.
Spinoza was a heretic, and therefore was excommunicated from the Jewish community.
It is interesting to note, that on the place where he had his early residence, and where he was perhaps born, we now find the “Mozes en Aäronkerk” church.
