Great Synagogue, Boskovice, Blansko district

Boskovice, 1759: Rabbi Pinchas Katzenellenbogen started writing his diary Yesh Manchilin.

R’ Pinchas’ diary is very fascinating, filled with historical details, and rabbinical anecdotes. A fantastic source for genealogical information, and Jewish traditions. Especially as R’ Pinchas, the author, was a rav in several Jewish communities, Wallerstein, Leipnik [Lipník nad Bečvou], Markbreit [am Main], and lastly in Boskovice, which gives the diary a rabbinic stamp.
