Judea 3249 AM: Gaviah ben Pesisa, won the case against the Arabs, Canaanites, and Egyptians, 

The Arabs, Canaanites, and Egyptians had seized the opportunity of Alexander the Great’s visits to Jerusalem to claim astronomical funds from the Jews. 

The Arab’s claim was – being a son of Avraham Avinu, the Canaanites claimed it was their land, and the Egyptians wanted back the gold and silver they had lent their Jewish neighbors before Yetzias Mitzrayim. To commemorate this victory, The Jewish Sages founded a yomtov.
