Venice, 1520: Daniel Bomberg started printing the 1st complete Talmud Bavli.
This is the editio princeps–the first printed edition, the first complete set of Talmud Bavli. The first volume of the Talmud Bavli was printed earlier, in the year 1484, which corresponds with the [5]344 AM. 344 is the numerical value of the word GeMaRA [גמרא].
