Mount Gilboa

Mount Gilboa, 2884: King Shaul, and his three sons die in war.

Seder Olam tells us that King Shaul died four months after Shmuel Hanavi’s passing. In Tur we learn that Shmuel passed away on the 28th of Iyar. Thus four months later, 28 Elul, marks the yahrzeit of the Royal Family of King Shaul.
