Everyone knows the story of Rashiβs father with the stone, how he wouldnβt sell the stone, which was intended for Idolatry purposes. But, tracing back the story to earlier sources, we find that he did indeed sell the stone. We know what kind of stone it was, and where the buyer intended to use the stone.
