The triumph of Mordechai
Judea 3449 AM: Mordechai HaTzadik passed away.
Many things happened 36 years after the reconstruction of the second Beis Hamikdash; which is exactly 1000 years after Yetzias Mitizrayim; this year also coincides with year 1 AG [Anno Graecorum] known to us as Minyan Shtaros. That year, on 10 Teves, Nevuah stopped, with the passing away of the four last prophets, Ezra Hasofer, Chagai, Zecharyah, and Malachi, who according to Rav Nachman, is no other than Mordechai HaTzadik. Thus we have some collections of Yahrzeiten today.
