Reischa, 1680: The Pnei Yehoshua was [supposedly] born.
Although Wikipedia is not considered a reliable resource, it does indeed have a wealth of unique information, and wonderful sources, which enlightens any researcher.
In our case, I found that 28 Kislev or 19 December 1680, is given as the DOB of the Pnei Yehoshua. I haven’t found yet a reliable source for this information, although the year is correct, as tradition has it that the Pnai Yehoshua was “Nolad beEmes veNiftar beYosher – נולד באמ״ת ונפטר ביוש״ר”. He was born in the year 441 which has the numerical value of אמ״ת/תמ״א, and passed away in the year 516 – יוש״ר/תקט״ז.
