Today, 915 years ago, in the year 1105, Rashi passed away in Prague.
Everyone knows the story of Rashi’s father with the stone, how he wouldn’t sell the stone, which was intended for Idolatry purposes. But, tracing back the story to earlier sources, we find that he did indeed sell the stone. We know what kind of stone it was, and where the buyer intended to use the stone.
